Our Summer In A Nutshell

So this was our summer in a nutshell:

Camden had his 1st birthday on may 7th.  We had lots of family come over for dinner and snacks and a little bit of cake, it was lots of fun!

Then there were a few not so fun things. Shortly after his birthday
Camden decided it would be pretty fun to grab the exhaust of Andrews truck, which was extremely hot.  We didn't know what happened at the time, when he was crying we thought he was just tired, so we decided to just put him to bed, well about 10 minutes later the hysterical cries were in full force, so i went in to check on him, and noticed him holding his hands out, and when i looked i saw huge blisters covering his hands, long story short, we took him to the hospital and they had to cut the blisters off, and bandage his hands.  This is a picture taken at 2:30 in the morning when we got home from the hospital, he was a little drugged up, and very sleepy.  It has been a long process to heal them, (changing bandages 2 times a day on a 1 year old) but his hands are great now, just a little scarred.  I don't know how many of you have burned yourselves but it hurts, and i felt so bad that we just put him to bed, but am thankful i decided to go check on him.

Next, was my moms 5? something birthday.  We had a big shindig in her backyard with lots of family and friends, yummy food and this lovely cake.  The black icing made a nice addition to our white teeth

Our swimming season was cut short this year because of camdens accident, but by august he was ok to be in the water.  So we took advantage and this was the first trip to the pool.

And last but not least.  Haylee started school at the end of August.  This is her first year of kindergarten, and she was really excited.  She picked out her clothes and backpack and was ready to go.  She really likes going to school, and has made a couple new friends!

I just wanted to point out how skinny you look! All this time I was picturing you as a rather large woman, but I was pleased to see that you are looking as stylish and skinny as ever! Good on ya Heather.
